The BSU Black Homecoming BBQ is held as a celebration of  the MIT Black Students' Union and its accomplishments. Current students and alumni come together to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones over food, music, performances, and games. In 2019, the barbecue took place on Saxon Lawn, coinciding with the Interphase 50th Anniversary Celebration.
